RESEARCH PROJECTS -IMPACT OF RESEARCH
IMPACT OF MY RESEARCH-DETAILS OF THE IMPACT
TEACHING PROFILE- TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My profile as teacher is based on the following four principles:
1. Goals for student learning
2. Enactment of goals
3. Assessment of goals
4. Creating a proper learning environment
My teaching philosophy is based on aligning intended outcomes (goals), instructional methods, and testing and how these can lead to significant gains in student learning.
During my instruction, I develop a set of STEM inquiry-based/design thinking learning scenarios that start with intended and unintended learning outcomes for measuring deeper learning processes during student’s activity in development models of simulations. The scenarios will be used to map student’s misconceptions, prior knowledge and experiences and then aligning them with the aims, objectives, outcomes assessment and feedback features used to discern deeper learning.
Teaching Skills
During the years of my teaching I have passes through different phases. At the early years of my teaching career my concern was primarily on my own role in the classroom, but when I mastered this role my concern shifted to students" ability to absorb what they have been taught with an emphasis from teaching to learning helping my students to become more absorbent and to use what they have been taught

RESEARCH PROJECTS -IMPACT OF RESEARCH
IMPACT OF MY RESEARCH-DETAILS OF THE IMPACT
- Changing practice in HE
- Impact on curriculum design courses and funding
- Wider impact in education
- Impacts on Industry
RESEARCH INTERESTS-RESEARCH PROFILE
Summary of main interests
- STEM and Computational Science issues. Development of STEM Applications for primary, secondary, Adult and Higher Education
- Address the challenge of forging deeper learning in STEM by integrating design thinking as an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through a form of design
- Research on student learning needs, contemporary learning theories, and innovative learning activities and fair assessment methods using different research methodologies, quantitative and qualitative and research methods
- Designing and integrating computational-problem-based learning environments into curricula for primary, secondary, Adult and Higher Education.
- Teaching and Learning Methods: inquiry learning, problem based learning, project-based learning, flipped classroom, case-based teaching for primary, secondary, Adult and Higher Education
- Problem solving and Inquiry Based Approach - Use of computers as cognitive tools -Scientific Reasoning and Epistemology, Model based reasoning, psychological structures (self-esteem, self-efficacy, motives)
- Critical analysis and empirical investigation of how educational policies, institutions and structures impact on and are experienced by students and teachers. Critical analysis of pedagogies and educational practices - theoretical and empirical research- to critique pedagogical practices and to suggest for pedagogical approaches that encompass critical and creative thinking
